Directions from clockwise on the M25
Leave the M25 at Junction 19 and follow the signs to Watford. At the first large roundabout take the third exit (A411 towards Watford) then after half a mile you will find the entrance to The Grove hotel on your right hand side.
Directions from anti-clockwise on the M25
Leave the M25 at Junction 20 and follow the signs to Watford. At the first large roundabout take the second exit (A411 towards Watford) then after half a mile you will find the entrance to The Grove on your right hand side.
Directions from the North on the M1
Leave at the M1 at Junction 5 and take the third exit (A41 to Aylesbury). After approximately a mile, you will come to a roundabout where you should take the second exit (again the A41 to Aylesbury). After nearly two miles, you will reach a roundabout where you should take the first exit. After half a mile, you will find the entrance to The Grove hotel on your right hand side.
Directions from South on the M1
Leave the M1 at Junction 6 and at the t-junction at the end of the slip road, follow the road round to the left, towards signs for North Watford A405. After approximately 1 1/2 miles you will reach a large roundabout, where you should take the second exit (A41 to Aylesbury). At the next roundabout, take the first exit then after half a mile, you will find the entrance to The Grove on your right hand side.
The nearest railway station to The Grove in Hertfordshire is Watford Junction, which is around 2 1/2 miles away. The Grove hotel is only 20 minutes from London Euston to Watford Junction, which also has key mainline train services to Birmingham New Street and Manchester Piccadilly. The station is served by the London Underground on the Metropolitan line. It is then a 10 minute journey by taxi from the station to The Grove hotel in Hertfordshire.
Chiltern Railways run a service from London Marylebone to Rickmansworth station. A taxi or private car (booked with us) will take about 15 minutes.
The Grand Union Canal runs straight through The Grove’s parkland. You should allow 8 hours from Regents Park in London.

At weekends Sequoia is exclusively available to hotel guests and spa members, therefore spa days are only available 9.00-6.00pm Monday - Fridays.

Children over the age of 12 are permitted to use the pool (when they are a hotel resident) between 9.00-11.00am and 3.00-5.00pm.
The Grove hotel recommend that you arrive at least 45 minutes before your appointment. This will give you the space to gently unwind, change into your robe and enjoy the relaxation facilities. Please be aware that arriving late may mean that your treatment time is reduced or even cancelled.
During your consultation, your experienced therapist will discuss any potential contraindications for your treatment. If you’re pregnant, taking medication, have a medical condition or have just had an operation, The Grove advise that you consult your doctor first. Some medical conditions may preclude you from specific treatments or heat experiences.
Specially designed treatments are available for expectant women or nursing mothers.
Advance booking is essential to avoid disappointment. We reserve your booking with your credit/debit card details (Amex, Mastercard, Visa, Maestro accepted) and then you pay The Grove on departure. All spa break prices are based on two adults sharing and all spa day prices are per person (unless stated otherwise).
Should you need to cancel your spa break, spa day or additional treatments The Grove require you to give at least 72 hours notice prior to your to your arrival time. Should you cancel after these times 100% cancellation charges apply and will be taken by The Grove from the card details you provided to secure your booking.
Only Deluxe West Wing and Superior West Wing rooms can be twinned, all other rooms have double beds.
Complimentary water, fruit and magazines are available in the spa.
Located just beside Reception, the Juice Bar offers everything from smoothies, champagne and light bites (including a gourmet salad, soup or Panini). You can also enjoy the peaceful atmosphere here in your robe and slippers as you chat to friends, relax on your own or read the papers.
Please bring a swimming costume to wear in the mixed areas and wet areas. For body treatments, The Grove provide disposable underwear. For other treatments, you may wear your own underwear or dry swimwear, if you prefer. If you plan to join a class in the Fitness and Exercise Studios, please bring trainers and suitable sports wear. You are welcome to wear your robe in the spa area. The dress code in the hotel is smart casual with no ripped denim or trainers permitted in the restaurant.

Changing rooms and lockers are available for you to use during your stay at The Grove.
The minimum age to use the spa is 16 years, unless you're a hotel resident or member, in which case your children over 12 years old may use the indoor pool between 9am – 11am and 3pm – 5pm. Children must use the relevant gender changing room and must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Under two’s stay free in the same room as parents, aged two to 12 years are charged an additional £12.50 for breakfast only. Over 12’s must have their own room (which can be adjoining) and are charged the full room rate.
The spa environment is one of relaxation and tranquillity. Please respect all spa guests’ right to privacy and serenity. Sequoia is a mobile phone, Blackberry, pager, camera and smoke free zone. If you are unhappy with any aspect of your spa experience,you are invited to let the staff at The Grove know straight away so they can try to rectify it for you.
